Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lowboy/Landoll Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating lowboy and landoll trailers to transport heavy construction equipment and materials across various job sites. Your expertise in operating construction machinery, understanding safety procedures, and maintaining equipment will ensure smooth logistics and project progress. Duties Safely operate lowboy and landoll trailers to transport heavy machinery such as cranes, excavators, loaders, dozers, and other construction equipment. Conduct pre-trip inspections of trailers and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and proper functioning of hydraulics, brakes, lights, and securing devices. Load and unload construction machinery using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance checks on trailers and machinery, including lubrication, fluid levels, and minor repairs using hand tools. Follow all occupational safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently during operations. Coordinate with site managers and drivers to plan routes, delivery schedules, and ensure timely transportation of equipment. Maintain detailed records of transportation logs, inspection reports, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes. Experience Proven experience operating lowboy or landoll trailers in a construction or heavy equipment environment. Strong knowledge of heavy construction machinery such as cranes, loaders, backhoes, excavators, dozers, water trucks, dump trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and front loader trucks. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance. Hands-on experience with hydraulics systems, mechanical maintenance of construction machinery, and use of hand tools. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Knowledge of material handling equipment operation including forklifts and other lifting devices is a plus. $23.61 - $24.00 per hour
