Job Description
Responsibilities
- Primary function is to operate large scale excavators for demolition purproses. Additionall it may be asked to operate other heavy equipment such as bulldozers, skidsteers, graders, and other machinery to perform various tasks on construction or excavation sites.
- Safely and efficiently maneuver equipment to execute tasks according to project specifications and timelines.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functionality and identify any potential issues.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, construction managers, and other team members to coordinate tasks and meet project requirements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members using hand signals, two-way radios, or other designated communication methods.
- Assist with manual labor tasks as needed, including digging, grading, and site preparation.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs, or report major issues to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including equipment usage, fuel consumption, and project progress.
