Job Description
Forestry Mulcher Operator We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forestry Mulcher Operator to join our team. This position will operate forestry mulching and land-clearing equipment on construction and development projects. The ideal candidate has experience operating heavy equipment, understands safe clearing practices, and can work efficiently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Operate forestry mulchers, skid steers, compact track loaders, and related heavy equipment. Perform forestry mulching, brush clearing, right-of-way clearing, and site preparation. Clear trees, saplings, brush, and heavy vegetation while maintaining control of the work area. Work around property boundaries, utilities, structures, roads, and other jobsite obstacles. Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance, including checking fluids, grease points, teeth, hoses, tracks, and attachments. Identify equipment problems and communicate needed repairs before they result in major downtime. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements. Work with supervisors and other equipment operators to complete projects efficiently. Assist with other sitework or general construction duties when needed. Qualifications Previous experience operating a forestry mulcher or similar land-clearing equipment preferred . Experience operating skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, or other heavy equipment is a plus. Ability to safely operate equipment on uneven, wooded, and sloped terrain. Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and daily inspections. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Dependable transportation and consistent attendance. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Strong attention to safety and surrounding property. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes care of equipment, works safely, shows up consistently, and takes pride in the finished product . This is a hands-on position for an operator who understands that production is important, but protecting equipment, property, and coworkers comes first.
