Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for a project in Nashville, TN!
PAY:
$30/hour
PER DIEM
None HOURS:
60 hours/week
SCHEDULE
Monday-Saturday; 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
START DATE
08/31/2026
DURATION:
2-3 months
OVERTIME
1.5x after 40 hours

Excavator Operator Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators to safely operate 80,000 lb-class and larger excavators on a major construction project in Nashville. Operators will perform surface excavation, deep trenching, mass excavation, fine grading, and material handling. This position will involve working both outside and inside a tunnel environment. Qualifications for
Excavator Operator:
3-5 years of heavy equipment operating experience Proven hands-on experience operating 80,000 lb-class or larger excavators Experience with deep trenching, mass excavation, and fine grading Experience loading trucks and moving heavy materials Ability to perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections Ability to check fluid levels, grease joints, and report mechanical issues Strong depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness Ability to safely maneuver heavy equipment in tight or hazardous spaces Must be able to safely use equipment and required PPE Must be able to sit for extended periods while operating heavy equipment Must be able to climb onto heavy machinery and work in various weather conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety card required Valid driver's license required NCCCO or state-recognized heavy equipment certification is a plus Additional Requirements for
Excavator Operator:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to the job site Steel-toe work boots and hard hat are required No drug screen required No background check required No specific state license required
