Job Description
Edko, LLC is seeking candidates with leadership qualities, experience in vegetation management, and who are eager to work outside and learn new skills. You will receive on the job training . This position involves transporting, operating, maintaining, and servicing forestry mulchers on job sites and may require extended travel. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and flexible with travel schedules. If no mulching work is available, you are expected to perform other tasks such as herbicide applications along utility right-of-ways and road sides. Multiple positions are available. There are many opportunities for advancement at Edko including flying spray drones, running heavy equipment, planning and inspecting work, spray crew or advancing into Leadership. The work area is vast, so candidates can expect to travel a majority of the year on 2 to 3 week stints.
Requirements:
Pre-employment drug screen and background check required Valid Class A CDL License with a clean driving record is required Experience operating heavy equipment Excellent communication skills Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety Ability to work outside and in inclement weather Ability to interpret and follow maps Ability to use a laptop and handheld computers when needed. The ability to work independently for long hours and out of town with extended overnight travel Vegetation management experience, tree knowledge and ID skills a Plus • but not required • Ability to operate, diagnose, and repair equipment to include but not limited to tractors, forestry mulchers, trailers, and diesel trucksInformation:
