Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Light Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of light construction equipment to assist in the completion of projects. Your expertise in safely and efficiently operating machinery, along with a strong attention to detail, will contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate light construction equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment at job sites. Work closely with site supervisors and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Assist with manual labor tasks as needed when equipment is not in use. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the storage of equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Proven experience operating light construction equipment. Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols. Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project needs. This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc. Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits. This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in equipment operation (e.g., OSHA certification). Experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs.
