Job Details Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for completing assigned tasks safely and accurately using equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading isotanks from chassis used to transport. Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it's in good working order. Driving or controlling heavy equipment to complete depot tasks. Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly. Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste. Ensures all safety, environmental and operational procedures are followed. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. Maintains the confidentiality of company, customer and personnel information. Performs all pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose. Reports any damage or defects as discovered. Other duties as assigned by management. Experience in operating a gas-powered sit down forklift strongly preferred Must have experience with Kalmar spotting equipment Must have experience operating a diesel powered forklift strongly preferred 2 years experience working with a forklift Container loading experience preferred Must be able to speak and read English Must have experience moving large loads Knowledge of safety protocols and the procedures used to control heavy equipment Coordination to use all the controls on pieces of equipment Possessing enough strength to operate the controls on heavy equipment Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with equipment Strong oral communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and other paperwork Good noncommercial driver's license history to indicate a habit of safe driving
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Job Information Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and days of work are Monday through Friday.

This job operates in a depot and outside environment. Weather conditions may vary. This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.
