Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and unleash your expertise in operating a wide range of construction machinery to bring large-scale projects to life! As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be instrumental in executing construction tasks efficiently, safely, and with precision. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with various heavy machinery will drive project success from start to finish. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators and other construction machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks. Safely operate specialized vehicles including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers to transport materials across the site. Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with site preparation activities such as leveling ground, digging trenches, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining site cleanliness. Follow all safety protocols and construction standards diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage efficiently and meet project deadlines. Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation hours and report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs or maintenance. Skills Proven construction site experience with a solid understanding of heavy machinery operations. Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment including Caterpillar machines. Proficiency in operating various construction equipment like dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation on active construction sites. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on machinery and identify mechanical issues early.
