Operate excavation equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, and trenchers, for underground utility installation and repair.
Conduct piping repair tasks, including locating leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and ensuring proper installation.
Perform dirt work, including grading, leveling, and compaction to prepare sites for utility installation.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute tasks accurately.
Collaborate with crew members to carry out projects in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on the job site.
Maintain and perform regular inspections of machinery and tools to ensure optimal operation.
Document work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications related to heavy equipment operation or utility construction.
Experience with trenchless technology and other advanced excavation methods.
Knowledge of local utility infrastructure and regulations.
Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in underground utilities work, specifically in piping repair and excavation. Proven experience operating relevant machinery and equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge and equipment repair skills Ability to operate heavy equipment safely Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations related to underground utility work. Valid driver's license and any required certifications for operating heavy machinery. Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications. Knowledge of local utility infrastructure and regulations. Certifications related to heavy equipment operation or utility construction. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
