Job Description
Position:
Excavator Operator Wage:
$25.00- 30.
- Operate machines to perform tasks such as trenching, excavations, and moving materials on construction sites.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain the machines by performing routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the operation of other heavy equipment as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise. Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation.
- Experience in wet utilities including but not limited to storm drain, mainline water and sewer.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Experience in operating additional machinery such as Compactors, Loaders, Articulated Trucks, and Water Trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to install pipe, grade and build according to site plans and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
