Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver, where you'll be at the forefront of construction and utility projects, ensuring efficient operation of heavy machinery and safe transportation of materials. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your expertise in equipment operation, maintenance, and safe driving practices. Duties Operate a variety of construction machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation tasks. Safely drive commercial trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel between job sites in accordance with federal and local safety regulations. Conduct routine maintenance checks on all machinery and trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with construction utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or trenching activities. Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Perform construction site tasks such as grading, utility installation, excavation, and backhoe operations with precision and efficiency. Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and operational logs in compliance with safety regulations. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks on commercial or industrial sites. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record for truck driving duties. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on construction equipment. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential. Construction site experience involving utility work, excavation projects, grading, or similar activities preferred. Knowledge of construction utility locating techniques and tools is a plus. Prior experience working in environments that require adherence to safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
