This is not a typical 8-to-5 driving position. Our operators work in demanding environments, often with long hours, changing schedules, and overnight travel. Successful candidates must be comfortable working independently, managing their responsibilities without constant supervision, and representing AmeriVax professionally on every jobsite. Key Responsibilities Safely operate hydrovac trucks and associated equipment for hydro excavation, daylighting, potholing, trenching, and debris removal. Perform excavation work around underground utilities, pipelines, and other sensitive infrastructure. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of assigned equipment. Maintain accurate driver logs, job tickets, inspection reports, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and jobsite personnel. Follow all company safety procedures, DOT regulations, and applicable jobsite requirements. Work independently and make sound decisions in the field. Assist with equipment setup, hose handling, and other physically demanding aspects of hydrovac operations. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and take ownership of assigned equipment.
