Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Hydrovac / CCTV Operator to join our dynamic construction and utility services team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating hydrovac excavation equipment and CCTV inspection tools to assist with underground infrastructure projects, ensuring safe and efficient excavation and inspection processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of construction sites, pipelines, and other underground utilities while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment, contributing to vital infrastructure development and maintenance. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac trucks to perform precise excavations around underground utilities, pipelines, and infrastructure with accuracy and safety. Conduct CCTV inspections using specialized cameras to assess the condition of pipes, conduits, and other underground structures. Assist with the setup, positioning, and maneuvering of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks on construction sites. Support excavation activities by utilizing horizontal drilling techniques and tanker operations when necessary. Maintain detailed records of excavation activities, CCTV footage, and site inspections for reporting purposes. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to coordinate tasks efficiently across various construction projects. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving large vehicles including tanker trucks is preferred. Prior construction site experience with familiarity in excavation techniques and underground utility work. Ability to operate specialized equipment like Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy-duty brands confidently. Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures. Knowledge of piping systems inspection using CCTV technology is highly desirable. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift heavy equipment parts, and perform strenuous tasks in outdoor environments.
