In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving and positioning trailers within our yard to support seamless freight operations. Your expertise in truck driving and yard management will ensure that all loads are properly staged for delivery or pickup, maintaining safety and operational excellence at all times. This position offers a consistent schedule, allowing you to balance work with your personal life while contributing to a fast-paced logistics environment. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers within the yard. Move trailers to designated locations for staging, pickup, or delivery, adhering to yard layout and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before movement. Assist with route driving when needed for short-distance movements or repositioning within the facility. Maintain accurate logs of trailer movements, inspections, and yard activities for operational tracking. Collaborate with warehouse teams and drivers to ensure timely trailer swaps and efficient yard flow. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with experience driving tractor-trailers, including manual transmission vehicles. Proven experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving in various trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or roll-off trucks. Knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving and yard operations. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth yard operations. Physical ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and maneuvering trailers in a busy environment.
