This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of overhead crane systems, ensuring they meet safety standards, client specifications, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, project management, and advanced CAD modeling techniques. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative lifting solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety across diverse industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical product development projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets Develop detailed mechanical drawings and schematics using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical detail drawings to ensure precision manufacturing Conduct root cause analysis for design or operational issues related to overhead crane systems Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to evaluate structural integrity and performance under various load conditions Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance to optimize crane designs Manage project scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking to meet project milestones Apply industry standards such as ASME codes & standards in design and fabrication processes Support manufacturing by providing technical guidance on machine design, mechanical drafting, and schematics Implement building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project visualization and coordination Requirements #GRP2-$4000 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degrees or certifications in industrial or manufacturing engineering are a plus Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development Proficiency with CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and other 3D modeling tools for product design Strong understanding of mechanical knowledge including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance analysis, and mechanical drafting standards Experience with mechanical design of overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment is highly desirable Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, Arduino for control system integration Knowledge of engineering product development processes, including schematics creation and mechanical detail drawings Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions effectively Excellent project management skills with experience in project scheduling and cross-functional communication Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools and manufacturing processes If you are passionate about advancing industrial lifting solutions through innovative engineering practices and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
