Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Hydrovac Operator and become a vital part of our construction and excavation projects! In this energetic role, you will operate specialized hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently expose underground utilities, perform excavation tasks, and support infrastructure development. Your expertise will help ensure project safety, precision, and timely completion. Duties Operate hydrovac trucks equipped with high-pressure water systems and vacuum units to excavate around utilities and sensitive structures. Conduct site assessments to determine the safest excavation methods and ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction zones, including traffic control and site preparation. Perform routine maintenance checks on hydrovac equipment and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other crew members to coordinate excavation activities efficiently. Follow all safety protocols related to construction, heavy equipment operation, horizontal drilling, tanker handling, paving, and utility exposure. Requirements Proven experience operating Hydrovac truck Oil and gas experience CDL preferred but not required Mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and general machinery maintenance. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and accuracy. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
