Job Description

What you will do:
  • Operates front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, crushers and screening units as required.
  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Operates water trucks and roll off trucks as required.
  • Operates various equipment for general site preparation and related assignments.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies.
  • Should be familiar or willing to be trained on MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/tagout policy, confined spaces policy, hot work policy, lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Experience and abilities you will need:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Task training required for each type of equipment operated.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisor to meet plant needs.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
