The City is seeking a skilled and dependable Public Works Equipment Operator in the Public Works Utility Cut Services division, who enjoys hands-on work, operating specialized equipment, and making a visible impact throughout the community. This position performs a variety of street maintenance, utility cut repairs, infrastructure support, and equipment operation duties while helping maintain City streets, sidewalks, water systems, and right-of-ways. Responsibilities include operating a street sweeper throughout the City of Plano, supporting traffic control at work sites, maintaining vehicles and equipment, performing repairs and maintenance activities, and tracking daily operational data in Cartegraph. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering quality public service while working both independently and as part of a dedicated Public Works team.
