Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator - Rock Quarry Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our quarry operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in a mining, quarry, construction, or aggregate environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and production efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and other quarry-related machinery. Load, move, stockpile, and transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and contractors. Assist with general quarry operations and other duties as assigned. Work efficiently while maintaining quality standards and production goals. Qualifications Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred. Experience in quarry, mining, aggregate, construction, or related industries is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around dust, noise, and uneven terrain. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance record. Requirements Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and any required random drug testing. Must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Must demonstrate and uphold an unmatched commitment to workplace safety. Must be willing and able to complete required MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training prior to or upon hire. Must comply with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. Ability to perform physical duties including climbing, lifting, walking on uneven surfaces, and working around heavy equipment. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience.
