Essential job functions include:
Operates a variety of specialized trucks and heavy motorized equipment to repair and maintain streets, roadways and infrastructure in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; hauls materials and transports vehicles and equipment to job sites; duties may vary according to job assignment. Inspects and cleans vehicles, equipment and tools for proper operating condition; repairs, maintains and adjusts equipment; maintains usage logs; Recognizes, avoids and reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries; controls work projects to assure that safety rules and regulations are followed and that the work zone and all equipment are in safe operating condition. Supports the relationship between the City of Robinson and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information. Provides street maintenance services by constructing and maintaining streets, filling potholes, making asphalt street and curb repairs, grading streets Leads work crews performing skilled and semi-skilled general labor, construction, maintenance and repair work; assures that all safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site. Coordinates and assigns staff, vehicles and equipment; checks work activities for compliance to quality standards, safety regulations and City procedures. Monitors operations and enforces adherence to City policies, procedures and standards. Trains work crew in City procedures, techniques and safety standards; trains crew in the use and maintenance of equipment and tools; works with staff to correct performance deficiencies. Collects information, purchases some supplies, prepares reports if necessary, and maintains records as directed. Leads the maintenance of vehicles and equipment in accordance with City safety procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
