Available Lofton Staffing is hiring experienced Extrusion Operators, Extrusion Machine Operators, and Press Operators for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in the Rosenberg, TX area. Candidates with experience in plastic extrusion, metal extrusion, hydraulic press operation, metal forming, pipe fabrication, or industrial manufacturing are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities Set up and operate hydraulic presses , including 4-post style hydraulic presses and pull-through presses Operate extrusion and press equipment safely and efficiently Load and unload raw materials and finished products Set up tooling and assist with tooling assembly and disassembly Perform extrusion, forming, and pressing operations according to production requirements Run production batches, typically 5-25 pieces Read and follow production drawings, work instructions, and written procedures Perform pipe layout and pipe fit-up when required Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication drawings Operate track torches and hand torches for cutting and fabrication Inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools Maintain consistent product quality and production standards Perform routine machine maintenance, including hydraulic fluid checks and greasing fittings Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA-related safety requirements Qualifications Experience as an Extrusion Operator, Extrusion Machine Operator, Press Operator, Machine Operator, Fabricator, or similar manufacturing position Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production environment Plastic extrusion or metal extrusion experience is preferred Hydraulic press experience is highly preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret drawings and production specifications Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures Comfortable working around high temperatures, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment Able to work independently and follow written procedures Reliable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply: Plastic extrusion Metal extrusion Extrusion machine operation Hydraulic press operation Press operation Metal forming Hot metal forming Pipe fitting Pipe fit-up Pipe layout Pipe fabrication Welding or fabrication Track torch operation Hand torch operation Heavy manufacturing Industrial manufacturing Machine operation 5+ years of manufacturing shop experience is strongly preferred , particularly for candidates with pipe fitting, pipe fabrication, or metal forming backgrounds.
