Road Crew Equipment Operator

Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Road Crew Equipment Operator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for operating various heavy equipment and trucks to maintain and improve over 1100 miles of private roads. Your expertise will ensure our roads remain safe, functional, and enjoyable for all visitors. Responsibilities The ability to work in tandem with the Property Owner Services Administrator to fill maintenance request work orders for property owners. The ability to effectively plan for and respond to weather, erosion, and road use. The ability to read and use maps. Good communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with property owners. Proficient in the operation of road maintenance equipment owned by the Association, such as motor graders, loaders/backhoes, dump trucks, etc. Have knowledge of road terrain, possible areas of flooding and water shed (drainage), road structure, materials, safety, maintenance techniques, proper crowning of roads, grading techniques, gravel maintenance, weather and timing, and ability to read the road needs. The ability to work without direct supervision. Coordinate supply orders with the main office/maintenance supervisor, including fuel, filters, etc. Maintain records of machine hours, service records, mileage, and inspection reports to be turned in weekly. Ability to read and write in English, follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and have organizational skills. Participate, along with the Maintenance Supervisor, in maintaining inventory, the mechanics' building, and the heavy equipment yard. Willing to respond to all duties deemed necessary for the position. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery and troubleshooting skills. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving various trucks and equipment. Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols. Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings related to road construction projects. Pay:

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
