Job Description

Equipment operator - Commercial Electrician Buildforce is currently seeking for a Equipment Operator with 4-5 years of experience for our project at UVA Ivy Corridor in Charlottesville, VA.
About the project:
The University of Virginia (UVA) is one of the top public universities in the country, and the Darden School of Business is its top-ranked graduate business school. This project is Darden's first-ever on-Grounds student housing community, located on North Grounds — a two-building complex spanning roughly 246,000 square feet, with 216 units and more than 325 beds for Full-Time MBA students. It's a high-profile, large-scale commercial build for a nationally recognized institution. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment (trencher, backhoe, excavator, or similar) to dig trenches for underground electrical conduit and cable installations Work alongside electricians to lay conduit at proper depth and clearance per code and utility requirements Identify and avoid existing underground utilities using locate markings Backfill and compact trenches after conduit/cable placement Maintain safe operation of equipment on active job sites, including around trenches and excavation zones Requirements 4-5 years of combined equipment operating and electrical experience. OSHA 10 Heavy Equipment operator license ( Excavator Operator Training ) Experience on major projects preferred Additional Information Must have reliable transportation and tools Competitive pay based on experience Schedule Monday to Friday -
Hours:
