In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, contributing directly to the successful completion of construction initiatives. Responsibilities Operate a wide range of construction machinery including excavators and loaders to move materials and prepare sites for construction activities. Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while handling heavy machinery and materials on-site. Assist with material handling tasks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, water trucks, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Coordinate with team members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance purposes. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Skills Proven experience operating construction site machinery such as excavators and front-end loaders. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment. Familiarity with hydraulics systems and the operation of material handling equipment. Knowledge of construction safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE use. Ability to read blueprints or site plans is a plus; excellent hand tool skills are essential for minor repairs or adjustments. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and efficient equipment operation. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity.
