Job Description

Job Title:
Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites, requiring the operation of bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, and front-end loaders for their grade crew. Comfort with working outside the cab is essential. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, debris, and materials. Use equipment to dig, level, and grade land according to project specifications. Clear land, remove obstacles, and ensure proper groundwork for construction. Load, transport, and distribute materials like dirt, gravel, and rock. Perform daily inspections, minor repairs, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in top condition. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation. 2-3+ years experience operating Excavators and Dozers. Experience in grading, rough and fine grading, and earthworks. Familiarity with GPS technology in construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable occasionally working outside the cab. Experience in civil construction and site development. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
