Job Description

Job Overview William A. Hazel, Inc. , a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for an experienced GPS Dozer Operator in the Dirt Division. This role is critical to our site development operations and requires someone who can operate with precision using GPS systems while maintaining production and safety on the jobsite. Duties Operate GPS-equipped dozers for mass grading, fine grading, and site development Perform cut/fill operations to meet design grades and site plans Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and GPS models Work closely with foremen, and survey teams to ensure accuracy Maintain proper slopes, drainage, and subgrade preparation Monitor GPS systems and make adjustments as needed during operation Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Maintain safe working conditions around crews and other equipment Skills 3+ years of dozer operating experience in site development or heavy civil work Hands-on experience with GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, or similar) Strong understanding of grading, elevations, and site layout Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused Willingness to work overtime as needed Ability to operate related machinery.
