Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles, equipment, and/or goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of autos, trucks, including semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers, as well as heavy equipment. Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles such as semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers to transport materials and goods. Load and unload vehicles and/or freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling of all cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and delivery status as required by regulations. Follow all local, state, and federal transportation laws while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Utilize manual transmission skills when necessary for specific vehicle types. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience with various truck types including semi-trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus. Strong understanding of handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
