Job Description

Yard Crew / Marine Forklift Operator - Part-Time to Full-Time Harbor Town Marine is looking for motivated individuals to join our yard crew. This is a hands-on position that offers a wide variety of work throughout the boating season and wrapping up by mid-November. While operating our marine forklift and handling Rack & Stack boats is a major part of the job, we're looking for team members who are willing to do whatever needs to be done.
What You'll Be Doing:
Operate a large-capacity marine forklift used to lift, transport, and store boats. Working with a spotter to safely move boats around the yard or in/out of the well Fueling boats and assisting customers Organizing and cleaning the yard Completing general maintenance and improvement projects Assisting with pump-outs and basic boat services Helping with fall haul-outs using our travel lift Setting boats on blocks with stands Performing light winterization tasks and seasonal boat preparation Supporting the team wherever needed
What We're Looking For:
Attention to detail Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to plan ahead and work efficiently Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Team-oriented attitude Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Someone who takes pride in doing the job right Physical & Job Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods. Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment, boats, fuel systems, and water. Must be able to safely identify hand signals, equipment hazards, and boat positioning during lifting operations. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers in a busy outdoor work environment. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, wind, and cold temperatures. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Forklift, heavy equipment, or boating experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This is not a position where you'll do the same thing every day. Every day brings different challenges, different boats, and different tasks. The right person will enjoy staying busy, thinking ahead, and being part of a team that keeps the marina running smoothly. Part-time or full-time positions available. Experience operating equipment is helpful, but a good attitude and willingness to learn are even more important. Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
