As a Loader at Merrill Steel, you'll play a vital role in transporting large, heavy steel pieces such as columns, trusses, and I-beams onto flatbed trailers using overhead cranes. Your expertise in understanding weight distribution and pre-planning load arrangements will ensure that our shipments are transported safely and securely across the country. We appreciate hardworking individuals who can occasionally lift up to 75 lbs and take pride in their work. Our second shift runs from 3:30 pm to 3:00 am, Monday through Thursday, with voluntary Fridays—no weekends or Saturdays! Plus, enjoy a night shift premium of $1.60/hour starting immediately. Technical Skills & Safety Mechanically inclined with a passion for learning Experience with power tools, forklifts, and operating grinders (preferred) Capable of reading a tape measure Willing to be trained on overhead cranes Committed to safety with PPE and situational awareness Able to lift up to 75 pounds with confidence Why Merrill Steel is the Place for You At Merrill Steel, we're dedicated to creating a workplace where you feel valued and inspired every day.
