The Position We're looking for an Experienced GPS Dozer Operator to join Payne & Dolan, Inc., a division of the Walbec Group. You'll operate several types of power construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner on heavy road and highway construction projects throughout the local area and state. Responsibilities Operate dozers with GPS Machine Control technology in a safe and efficient manner Operate excavators, rollers, loaders, haul trucks, motor graders, and skid steers as needed Use machinery to move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites Read and understand grade stakes and automated machine control cab displays Perform rough grade and finish grade work as assigned Safely maneuver machinery in tight quarters, around people, traffic, and utilities Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed Assist with repairs as needed Requirements Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record GPS Machine Control knowledge required At least 5 years of dozer experience with specific experience in road building, earth moving, site grading, landscaping, or sewer/water A Class A CDL is preferred High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred Must be punctual and dependable Have the ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment.
