Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our civil infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy paving equipment to ensure smooth, durable asphalt surfaces on various construction projects. Your expertise in construction machinery, safety regulations, and asphalt paving techniques will be vital to delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Duties Operate asphalt rollers and paving equipment to achieve optimal compaction of bituminous materials during road construction and repair projects Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy machinery, including construction vehicles such as dump trucks, loaders, excavators, and concrete mixers Assist with the preparation of construction sites by managing equipment setup, ensuring proper alignment of screeds, and verifying the quality of asphalt paving according to project specifications Follow safety protocols and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members on-site Support concrete-related tasks such as concrete finishing, pouring, pumping, and forming when needed to ensure seamless integration with asphalt work Collaborate with other construction crew members on site, including rebar installation, concrete work, and equipment operation, to meet project deadlines Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety compliance documentation Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as asphalt rollers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers in civil infrastructure projects Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with paving techniques involving screeds and asphalt compaction processes Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments during paving operations Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements for construction sites Ability to work effectively on construction projects involving concrete finishing, rebar installation, concrete pumping, and site preparation Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent for operating commercial vehicles like dump trucks or concrete mixers is preferred Excellent understanding of construction site safety protocols and the importance of adherence at all times Working knowledge of construction materials such as bituminous materials and concrete components is highly desirable Join our team if you're passionate about building infrastructure that lasts!
