In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to restoration and remodeling, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to deliver exceptional craftsmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, stucco application, plastering, caulking, and masonry finishing. Assist with renovation projects by handling demolition prep, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and operating equipment responsibly. Experience Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects. Hands-on knowledge of construction site procedures including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and maintenance of painting equipment. Experience with construction estimating, renovation projects, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, masonry work, and plastering is highly desirable. Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects in different environments. Prior work on construction sites involving renovation or restoration projects is preferred.
