This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Utilize airless paint spraying techniques for efficient application on larger surfaces. Estimate materials needed for projects and manage inventory effectively. Perform plastering and caulking to ensure smooth finishes on walls and fixtures. Execute restoration projects that may include renovation and remodeling tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools and hand tools. Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting; industrial painting and home repairs experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of construction practices including carpentry, masonry, concrete finishing, and trim carpentry. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for accurate measurements. Experience with fixture installation and maintenance tasks is beneficial. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Previous maintenance person experience is advantageous for performing related tasks as needed. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
