Painter 2 (Full Time)

The Painter 2 performs cosmetic applications and related repairs on all Pebble Beach Company buildings and facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist maintenance crew whenever needed. Paint and maintain all painted surfaces at all resort buildings and facilities. Refinish all woodwork, including building floors, trim, paneling and furniture. Participate in on-going maintenance program, performing cosmetic repairs to rooms, halls and service areas, along with the Engineers. Ensure that all materials and supplies needed for a given task are on hand; request needed materials in a timely manner. Ability to mix paint tints and sheens to match particular colors. Move furniture as needed. Perform spray painting. Suggest appropriate finishes and materials for each task. Store solvents and other flammable materials in a safe and orderly fashion. Maintain shop and painting equipment in a clean, neat and orderly fashion. Ability to hang and repair vinyl and other wall coverings as needed. Ability to install drywall, patch holes, tape seams, and texture walls to match. Ability to interact with guests in a professional manner that is consistent with Pebble Beach Company standards and values. Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies. Knows models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values and standards).

Absolutely Required Skills:

Excellent painting skills, as well as the ability to mix colors and stains. Knowledge of all painting materials and their appropriate uses important. Must be able to use paint sprayer and other related equipment. Ability to work in a neat and orderly way, maintaining a professional appearance at all times. Minimum 3 years painting experience. Drywall and texture experience required. Ability to work in a neat and orderly way, maintaining professional appearance at all times.
