Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, and power tools for efficient coverage Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and surface specifications Perform detailed trim carpentry, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry touch-ups, and fixture installation as needed Conduct surface inspections throughout projects to ensure smooth finishes and identify areas requiring touch-ups or corrections Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for each job Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools such as hand tools, scaffolding, and scaffolding equipment while adhering to safety standards Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters, masons, and maintenance teams to complete renovation or restoration projects efficiently Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations critical to precise application of coatings Follow safety protocols at all times when working with hazardous materials or operating power tools such as airless sprayers or welding equipment Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments with construction site familiarity Strong knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques for high-quality finishes Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for project planning and execution Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and spray equipment including airless paint sprayers Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation preferred Knowledge of construction estimating processes to evaluate project scope and materials needed effectively Familiarity with renovation projects involving framing carpentry and restoration work is advantageous Ability to work safely at heights on scaffolding or ladders while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and understanding project specifications Valid construction site experience with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship in various environments Join us as a Painter where your expertise will help create stunning spaces!
