Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and patching imperfections to ensure optimal adhesion. Apply paint, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including conventional spray systems), and power tools to achieve smooth, even coverage. Conduct surface preparation tasks such as drywall installation, plastering, sanding, and surface priming for various construction surfaces. Follow safety regulations diligently by using respiratory protection equipment, adhering to safety protocols on construction sites, and maintaining a clean work environment. Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, repairing drywall, caulking gaps, and performing handyman tasks as needed. Maintain tools and equipment including hand tools, paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, and power tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with residential and commercial painting projects across diverse environments. Knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching. Hands-on experience with ladder use safely at various heights on construction sites. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spray systems), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment. Experience in drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, renovation work or general handyman tasks is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and surface dimensions. Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols during spray painting or surface preparation activities.
