Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specific painting requirements. Execute residential and commercial painting tasks with precision, including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry finishes, and industrial coatings. Perform restoration and renovation work by repairing damaged surfaces, applying plastering techniques, and handling remodeling projects. Install fixtures and trim carpentry components accurately while adhering to schematics and safety standards. Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for project planning and execution. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools such as hand tools and power tools while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Skills Extensive experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, industrial settings, with a strong understanding of construction site safety practices. Proficiency in construction estimating to assess project scope accurately. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues and finishes for various surfaces. Skilled in using hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (welders, concrete finishers), scaffolding equipment, and airless paint sprayers. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise project execution. Familiarity with plastering techniques, stucco application, masonry work, caulking methods, fixture installation, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, restoration processes, and masonry finishing. Experience with welding or industrial painting is a plus for specialized projects. Strong understanding of basic math for measurements; handyman experience is advantageous for versatile task handling.
