Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Painter / Quality Control Inspector to join our construction and renovation team. In this pivotal role, you will lead painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will drive the quality assurance process, inspecting work at various stages to guarantee flawless results. Duties Lead and coordinate painting teams on various properties, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Conduct thorough quality inspections of painted surfaces, plastering, stucco, caulking, and fixture installation to meet company standards and client expectations. Oversee the preparation of surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment; include tasks like sanding, scraping, masking, and surface cleaning. Apply various painting techniques such as airless paint spraying for large areas or detailed brushwork for trim carpentry and restoration projects. Ensure proper use of safety protocols on-site; monitor team compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Provide mentorship to junior painters; promote best practices in color theory, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of work quality for client reports and project documentation. Experience Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting or industrial coating projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations. Minimum 2 years experience
REQUIRED!
Hands-on expertise with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including airless sprayers; masonry tools; and scaffolding setups. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, framing carpentry, restoration work, masonry repair or remodeling projects. Familiarity with schematics for fixture installation or maintenance tasks within renovation projects is preferred. Strong understanding of color theory principles to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes across diverse surfaces. Previous experience working on construction/residential/commerical sites with safety compliance awareness is essential. Pay:
$26.11 - $31.45 per hour
