In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of surface preparation, color matching, and application techniques across residential, commercial, and settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, caulking, plastering, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand tools with precision. Perform surface coating tasks on various materials such as stucco, masonry, drywall, wood trim, fixtures, and structural elements. Conduct site assessments to determine appropriate surface preparation methods and select suitable coatings or paints based on project needs. Follow safety regulations diligently by utilizing respiratory protection, harnesses when working at heights with ladders or scaffolding, and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites. Skills Strong understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison. Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, and renovation projects. Skilled in the use of power tools such as paint sprayers (including airless), hand tools (brushes, rollers), and scaffolding equipment. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques specific to construction painting surfaces. Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials. Experience with plastering, caulking, fixture installation, concrete finishing, and remodeling is a plus. Hands-on experience with maintenance tasks such as fixture installation or small repairs on construction sites.
