Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct routine inspections of painted surfaces to identify areas in need of touch-ups or reapplication; perform touch-ups as necessary Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and cleaning surfaces Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim, ensuring an even coat and a quality finish Maintain records of paint colors and finishes used in each area, and document all painting activities Proficiently perform painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, and applying coats of paint to various surfaces, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specified color schemes and finish requirements Prepare apartments for new tenants by performing necessary repairs and touch-up painting Repair and replace damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed Maintain an inventory of painting and maintenance supplies and equipment Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, focusing on painting and minor repairs Assist with minor maintenance and grounds keeping duties as needed Perform other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance work, preferably in a residential setting Proficiency in painting techniques and experience with interior and exterior painting projects Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or relevant vocational training is a plus Boardwalk offers an attractive compensation and benefits package and the opportunity to be part of an exciting and fast paced organization.
