Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable, high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and technical know-how. Whether you're working on restoration, remodeling, or new construction sites, your craftsmanship will make a lasting impact. Duties Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools to achieve smooth and even coverage Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine project scope and specific surface requirements for residential and commercial painting jobs Execute various construction painting tasks including drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry coating, industrial painting, and restoration projects Utilize carpentry skills for trim carpentry, frame carpentry, fixture installation, and minor masonry or concrete finishing tasks as needed during renovation projects Perform maintenance work such as caulking seams, sealing cracks with specialized compounds, and performing touch-ups to ensure long-lasting finishes Operate hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites or renovation locations Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to interpret blueprints or schematics for precise application of paint schemes and color matching based on color theory principles Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of construction estimating processes Strong knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues that complement design plans Hands-on experience with commercial painting projects across various industries including industrial environments Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including airless sprayers; and specialized equipment like welding or masonry tools when necessary Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks Familiarity with plastering techniques, stucco application, caulking procedures, and fixture installation methods Basic math skills for measuring areas accurately and estimating material quantities effectively Experience in renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work within construction sites Knowledge of safety standards related to construction painting environments including proper handling of chemicals and equipment Additional handyman skills such as carpentry (trim framing), concrete finishing or masonry are advantageous but not mandatory Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
