Job Description

Painter Mozaic Senior Life is seeking a skilled, dependable Painter to join our Physical Plant team. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance of our community by preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces, along with assisting with general maintenance and emergency needs.
Department:
Physical Plant Reports to: Physical Plant Supervisor Responsibilities Paint and refinish interior and exterior surfaces using paint, varnish, lacquer, sealer, and stain. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and repairing cracks and holes. Refinish walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, furniture, trim, and other surfaces. Protect surrounding areas and furnishings using drop cloths and appropriate safety measures. Mix, tint, and prepare finishes as needed. Apply wallpaper, decals, transfers, stencils, and signage as required. Use ladders and scaffolding safely to reach elevated areas. Maintain and clean painting equipment and supplies. Work from scheduled work orders, verbal instructions, and assigned projects. Work both indoors and outdoors as needed. Assist with snow removal and other Physical Plant assignments. Assist with facility emergencies and participate as a member of Mozaic Senior Life's fire brigade. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of related painting or maintenance experience required. Valid Connecticut driver's license required. Knowledge of painting, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Ability to safely use ladders and scaffolding. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
