In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to transforming residential, commercial, and industrial spaces, delivering visually appealing and durable results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in painting techniques and surface preparation. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless paint spraying), and hand tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work to ensure smooth finishes. Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Operate power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks while maintaining equipment in good condition. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating tasks and project timelines to meet deadlines efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting or related fields with construction site experience. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and color matching accuracy. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety procedures on construction sites. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise application of finishes. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimating materials needed for projects. Skills in carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, drywall installation, plastering, masonry or concrete finishing are a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship; handyman experience is beneficial.
