Lead Painter

Duties:

• Lead a team of painters in completing various painting projects
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
• Apply paint using various techniques including brush, roller, and airless paint spraying
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
• Caulk gaps and cracks to ensure a smooth and seamless finish
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and drywall installers to complete renovation projects
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Train and mentor junior painters

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a lead role
• Strong knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
• Familiarity with drywall installation, stucco application, and carpentry work
• Proficient in using power tools such as sanders, sprayers, and brushes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Detail-oriented with excellent color perception and matching skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
