This role ensures high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of assigned projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, filling holes, or repairing cracks. Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Protect nearby surfaces with drop cloths, masking tape, or other coverings. Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure proper finishing quality. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe conditions. Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment. Work from ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and high-reach equipment as needed. Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, or team members to complete projects on schedule. Be flexible with hours and days including holidays Qualifications Proven experience as a painter in residential and commercial. (5+ years' experience) Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical stamina and ability to stand, climb, and lift for extended periods. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable transportation Have own hand tools Must be able to pass a level 2 background screening or have Hillsborough County School level 2 screening badge. Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work environments. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, and varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
