Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using hand tools such as brushes and rollers or spray equipment including paint sprayers and airless systems Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute painting tasks according to project requirements Use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to reach high or hard-to-access areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols Perform structural painting on surfaces like stucco, drywall, masonry, and concrete to enhance building integrity and appearance Conduct surface repairs including plastering, caulking, drywall patching, and fixture installation for seamless finishes Ensure proper surface preparation for construction painting projects by cleaning, sanding, or applying primers as needed for optimal results Skills Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects Strong understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison Proficiency in residential painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, and conventional spraying methods Experience with commercial and industrial painting applications using spray guns such as airless paint sprayers and construction spray painting equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for precise execution of tasks Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment including respiratory protection Familiarity with surface preparation standards for construction site painting surfaces such as drywall finishing or masonry restoration Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction site work including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to safety protocol guidelines Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in estimating paint quantities or surface areas Experience with carpentry tasks like trim carpentry or frame carpentry that support renovation projects Ability to perform maintenance tasks such as fixture installation or masonry work when required for comprehensive project completion Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces with your craftsmanship!
