Job Description

Painting Supervisor Overview:
This role will support Engineering management and will be responsible for providing both technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department with an emphasis on painting and finish work. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any issues.
Responsibilities:
Assist Engineering management with the upkeep of preventative maintenance and CARE, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks. Assist Engineering management with the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders. Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work is completed. Manage Synergy application daily and update as needed. Plan, schedule and assign daily tasks to painters by priority to meet project deadlines. Maintain up-to-date inventories of paint, carpentry and finishing supplies. Respond to guest requests or calls as needed. Work with the painting and CARE associates on a daily basis and support their work. Assume responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Engineering management, working in partnership with other supervisors and other departments' leaders. Train New Hires, evaluate performance, and inspect quality of work, providing feedback as needed. Other job duties and special projects as assigned by Leadership. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios. Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team is preferred. Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred. Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time. Candidate must be able to not only follow direction but be able to think on their feet. Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests and hotel leadership. Painting and carpentry knowledge is required. Additional HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing knowledge will be preferred. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.
