Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter Helper to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will assist experienced painters with preparing surfaces, handling tools, and supporting various painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will contribute to delivering high-quality finishes that transform spaces. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the painting industry while developing essential skills for a successful career in construction and renovation. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer as needed. Assist with mixing paints, stains, and other coatings according to project specifications. Support the application of paint using hand tools, power tools, or airless spray equipment under supervision. Handle and organize hand tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment on job sites. Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment on construction sites. Assist with minor carpentry tasks such as caulking, trim installation, or framing to support painting projects. Read blueprints or schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate work execution. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with construction site work is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and paint quantities. Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Willingness to learn new skills such as plastering, stucco application, or restoration techniques. Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday. Join us in creating beautiful spaces!
