This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to multi-family complex projects. As a key contributor, you'll utilize your skills in surface preparation, finishing techniques, and color application to deliver high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and durability of various structures. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Perform residential and commercial painting tasks on interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, and fixture installation. Conduct restoration and renovation projects by repairing damaged surfaces and updating existing paint jobs with attention to detail. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion. Assist with remodeling projects by supporting carpentry tasks such as framing or trim work when necessary. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly; ensure all safety measures are followed during operations. Skills Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial painting environments. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and airless spray equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with plastering techniques, caulking applications, stucco work, masonry repairs, and fixture installation a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and estimating material quantities; experience with construction estimating is advantageous. Knowledge of renovation processes including restoration work and remodeling projects a plus. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols. Additional handyman experience such as carpentry (trim carpentry or frame carpentry), masonry or maintenance tasks is a valuable asset.
