QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED is required; Three (3) years commercial or construction painting experience is required; Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform as an effective and competent Painter; Valid Idaho Drivers' License is required; Journeyman Painter Certification is preferred; Ability to pass Pulmonary Function Test and obtain Respiratory Certification is required; Prepares and paints interior surfaces (walls, ceilings, furniture, cabinets, etc.); Prepares and paints exterior facilities, including parking lot striping, signage, playground equipment, portable ramps and railings, etc.; Lays out and paints gymnasium floors; Lays out and paints school graphics and logos; Removes graffiti, repairs vandalism and repaints surfaces; Performs preventive sealing on exterior walls and landscaping rocks; Inspects, repairs and paints ramps, playground and recreational equipment, benches, and signs; Disposes of hazardous materials related to painting and sealants; Related job tasks may require, with or without reasonable accommodation, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, walking over uneven flooring or construction sites, working in confined spaces, climbing and standing on ladders and scaffolding, crawling, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching and reaching.
